Loran D. Cook, MD.
Dr. Loran D. Cook has been in practice in the Utah Valley since 1977. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1966 and received his M.D. from the University of Utah in 1970. He completed his internship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and his ophthalmology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He was a staff ophthalmologist at Madison Army Medical Center before returning to Utah Valley.
Paul F. Olson, M.D.
Dr. Paul F. Olson has been in practice in the Utah Valley since 1988. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1975 and completed his M.D. from the University of Utah in 1979. He did his internship and ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University Eye Center in New Orleans. He completed a fellowship with Richard P. Kratz, M.D., in Newport Beach, California. Dr. Olson was in private practice in Newport Beach and Laguna Hills, California for five years before moving to Utah Valley.
Duane J. Nelson, M.D.
Dr. Duane J. Nelson has been in practice in Utah Valley since 1999. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1984 and received his M.D. from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland in 1988. Dr. Nelson completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Naval Hospital in San Diego. He served as a general medical officer aboard the USS Camden during Desert Storm and as a staff ophthalmologist at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida for five years before returning to Utah Valley.
L. Todd Cook, M.D. - Oculoplastic and Orbitofacial Surgeon
Dr. L. Todd Cook has been practicing in Utah Valley since 2003. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1993 and received his M.D. at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Cook completed his internship at the University of Utah; his ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and a two-year comprehensive fellowship in oculoplastic surgery, orbitofacial surgery, and Mohs surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA Medical Center, and the Beverly Hills Ambulatory Surgery Center. An author of numerous scientific papers in leading medical journals and chapters in medical textbooks, Dr. Cook has produced surgical instructional videos and invented surgical instruments. He regularly lectures at national and local symposiums including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His unique skills have been a great addition to the Utah Valley Eye Center.
Joe Haggard, O.D.
Dr. Joe Haggard has been practicing optometry at the Utah Valley Eye Center since 1987. He attended Brigham Young University and graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1987.
Franklin M. Edmunds, O.D.
Dr. Franklin M. Edmunds has been practicing optometry in Utah Valley since 1981. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1976 and from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1981.
